Tudaya Falls

 Panaw (Journey to Tudaya Falls)

It was 2006 or 2007, when a group of environmentalists, advocates and cause-oriented groups climbed the mountains of Sibulan/Sta Cruz, to reach Tuday Falls.

We witnessed there, rituals performed by the indigenous people who lived in the area. The rituals they performed prayed to their Diwata to allow and bless our visit in their sacred grounds - the Tudaya Falls.

Their prayers also sought the help of their Deity for protection and guidance. The villagers then were faced with threats of dislocation and the destruction of the area, due to plans of establishing a hyrdo-electric power plant via the falls.
